huevas?

lasnigh i dreamed
i had a disease, i was getting strange blotches on my skin, like clumps of frog spawn
i went to a place to be healed but didn't disclose this to the other people there, who were in the same healing waters, felt wrong but i was selfish, pollution?
felt so wrong that i did tell someone, after the fact
they were amused, pointed at my skin and how the blotches were already healing, disappearing

i woke up with that same feeling of guilt combined with disbelief, confusion, relief, gratitude

"I wish to apply for the position of part-time shop assistant. This cover letter is in response to the questions on your website.
I recently returned to Wales after almost 20 years in the US. Before that I lived in Swansea from ’79 to ‘81 and then Cardiff from ’81 to ’91. The schools I have gone to here are Whitestone Primary, Oystermouth Junior Comprehensive and Cardiff High. While in the US I had a career as a medical interpreter (Spanish/English), for the last 10 years.

On December 15, 2010 I was in a little town in Mexico, with a cold I couldn’t seem to shake off. I was on a solo, single-speed bike tour, towing a trailer. I thought I had ridden my bike to the limit of agony before. I reached new limits, nearly rode to death, literally.

B.O.B. Beast of Burden

On dec 15, about 6 months ago, I was in a little town in Mexico, with a cold I couldn’t seem to shake off. I was  on a solo, single-speed bike tour, towing a BOB trailer. I thought I had ridden my bike to the limit of agony before. I nearly rode to death, literally.
I went to a clinic where I learned my blood level was dangerously low. And that I might die. Shortly after I walked in the on-call doctor, razor-sharp, took one look at me and said "we need to run some tests but from looking at you i can tell you you are seriously ill: hepatitis, AIDS or cancer i'd say" !!! I decided I couldn’t die there, so far from my mother. I couldn’t do that to her. Within 30 hours I was with her again. At Llandough Hospital A&E. The effort it took to get back to Cardiff, physical, logistical, emotional was more than I could have imagined.
After overcoming that hurdle plus the ensuing diagnosis and gruesome treatment, it’s hard to imagine that I ever had problems before or ever will again. This experience has given me a whole new appreciation for each day that I’m still here. “Living each day as if it were your last” doesn’t sound like a worn-out cliché anymore. Funny, that.

Spiritual Defibrilation

Fuego Sagrado
Arbol de la Vida
Ometeotl
admiracion y gratitud
un rayo deslumbrante
relampagos defibriladores
nada mejor que una Danza, con un coro de aves, para recordar la urgencia de vivir

a veces lo mas sutil y facilmente ignorado llega lo mas profundo...si me esmero aun puedo escuchar ese coro
nada que valga la pena se logra sin dolor

Children's Song

We live in our own world,
A world that is too small
For you to stoop and enter
Even on hands and knees,
The adult subterfuge.
And though you probe and pry
With analytic eye,
And eavesdrop all our talk
With an amused look,
You cannot find the centre
Where we dance, where we play
Where life is still asleep
Under the closed flower,
Under the smooth shell
Of eggs in the cupped nest
That mock the faded blue
Of you remoter heaven.

Song

Wandering, wandering, hoping to find
The ring of mushrooms with the wet rind,
Cold to the touch but bright with dew,
A green asylum from time's range.

And finding instead the harsh ways
Of the ruinous wind and the clawed rain;
The storm's hysteria in the bush;
the wild creatures and their pain.

mental

It is commonly said that Descartes attempted to derive all human knowledge from premises whose truth was intuitively certain: but this interpretation puts an undue stress on the element of psychology in his system. I think he realized well enough that a mere appeal to intuition was insufficient for his purpose, since men are not all equally credulous, and that what he was really trying to do was to base all our knowledge on propositions which it would be self-contradictory to deny. He thought he had found such a proposition in ‘cogito’ , which must not here be understood in its ordinary sense of ‘I think’ but rather as meaning ‘there is a thought now’. In fact he was wrong because ‘non cogito’ would be self-contradictory only if it negated itself : and this no significant proposition can do. But even if it were true that such a proposition as ‘there is a thought now’ was logically certain, it still would not serve Descartes’s purpose. For if ‘cogito’ is taken in this sense, his initial principle ‘cogito ergo sum’ is false 'I exist' does not follow from 'there is a thought now'. The fact that a thought occurs at a given moment does not entail that any other thought has occurred at any other moment, still less that there has occurred a series of thoughts sufficient to constitute a single self. As Hume conclusively showed no one event intrinsically points to any other. We infer the existence of events which we are not actually observing, with the help of general principles. But these principles must be obtained inductively. By mere deduction from what is immediately given we cannot advance a single step beyond. And consequently any attempt to base a deductive system on propositions which describe what is immediately given is bound to be a failure.

The kettle's on, the sun has gone
another day
She offers me Tibetan tea on a flower tray
She's at the door, she wants to score
She dearly needs to say

I loved you a long time ago
Where the wind's own forget-me-nots blow
But I just couldn't let myself go
not knowing what on earth there was to know.

But I wish that I had 'cause I'm feeling so sad
That I never had one of your children.

And across the room inside a tomb
a chance is waxed and wanes
The night is young, why are we so hung up
in each others chains
I must take her, I must make her
while the dove domains

and feel the juice run as she flies
run my wings under her sighs
as the flames of eternity rise
to lick us with the first born lash of dawn.

Oh really my dear I can't see what we fear
Sat here with ourselves in between us.

And at the door we can't say more
than just another day
and without a sound
I turn around
and I walked away

flagella

Slipping back into the mist
Sliding into ignominy
ether
and scum
Babel
Disbelieving anything everything I think of to explain myself
That’s rich – explain myself
If I don’t believe me, then who could or would?
pleasurable
i am not my mind remember then forget it all
surreptitiously
crept up and cut it off

As the hand held before the eye conceals the greatest mountain, so the little earthly life hides from the glance the enormous lights and mysteries of which the world is full, and he who can draw it away from before his eyes, as one draws away a hand, beholds a great shining of the inner worlds.

Rabbi Nachmann of Bratzlav
